GAMORA

APPEARANCE:

The first picture resembles what I could imagine for her suit, being more technical, to also furthermore explain her invisibility feature. With the second picture I want to go to the direction of her hair and war paint, since it fits more to the assassin nature, which I want her to lean into. Now in the third picture you can see the Godslayer Sword, one of her common weapon through the comics. It makes sense for her to wield this weapon, since there are literally gods, like Thor or Hela, to fight in this game.

PROFILE:

Class: Duelist 

Gamora is known as the deadliest woman in the galaxy, so she would fit perfectly for the role as a duelist.​

In Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy the game, all her abilities deal a lot of damage and are mostly single target. I can see her in an assassin type of Gameplay in Marvel Rivals as well.

Base Stats:

Health: 250

Movement Speed: 7m/s

The most duelist have a Health stat of only 250, to balance their high damage output, which also applies to her.

Everyone in the game has 6m/s for Movement Speed except for Black Panther and Wolverine, who have 7m/s. Since I am not planning to give her any kind of mobility, I think it is fair to make her naturally faster then the majority. 

ABILITIES:

NORMAL ATTACK: 

  • Left Click: GODSLAYER SWORD

    • Casting: Melee

    • Damage: 20

    • Maximum Distance: 3m

    • Attack Interval: 0.20s per hit

Even though the number looks small, when she attacks one enemy without interruption Gamora deals with her attack 100 Damage per second, which means in less then three seconds she could kill almost every Strategist and Duelist.​

ABILITIES: 

  • Right Click: THROWING KNIVES

    • Casting: Projectile that fires in a straight trajectory

    • Projectile Speed: 100m/s

    • Damage: 50 (100 if they are hit from behind)

    • Cooldown: 8s

Next to a blade she is also known using knives. Since she is an expert in assassination, I though it would make sense for her to be able to throw her knife on enemies who are trying to run away from her. Also since assassins are known for coming out behind you, I gave it higher damage if she hit the back of her target.

  • Shift: INVISIBLE SUIT

    • Casting: Self

    • Effect: Gamora turns herself invisible and unable to detach

    • ​Duration: Permanent (upon using an ability, your normal attack or getting damage exit state of invisibility)

    • Cooldown: 15s

Since I wanted to make her an assassin, of course she needs some way to turn herself invisible. This helps her getting behind enemy lines, and choosing her next victim. I decided to grant her permanent invisibility, because giving it a time limit defeats the point of an assassin. They are known for their patience and to know when to strike. Additionally it gives players the opportunity to think through their plan, since Gamora is designed to strike down one enemy and vanish back into the shadows. 

  • E: ENHANCED REFLEXES

    • Casting: Self

    • Effect: Gamora dodge all incoming attacks, except ultimate (Q) abilities

    • Duration: 3s

    • Cooldown: 12s

There are already so many melee characters who jump and dash around a lot, so I want her to use her high mobility differently. Gamora will become almost immortal, and gives her the chance to retreat after a successful or a failed assassination or buy some time until she can turn invisible again.

  • Q: BACKSTAB

    • Casting: Target​

    • Damage: 300

    • Duration: 2s

    • Maximum Distance: 3m

    • Energy Cost: 4300

As her ultimate of course an ability where she backstabs her target. With it she can one hit every Strategist and almost every Duelist character, plus she can use it out of invisibility. To balance it out, is the high Energy Cost, which is the third highest in the game. The duration is for the animation in which she enters with the target after a successful activation and only after this two second will the damage be executed, if she gets killed during the animation the target doesn't receive any damage. So it is important to choose the right moment for the ultimate.

  • Passive: BIO-AUGMENTATIONS

    • Casting: Self

    • Effect: Gamora gains healing over time, while she is invisible

    • Healing Amount: 10/s

Thanks to this ability she has a little bit more of survivability on her own. Even though she can't always heal herself up to full health, it will be still enough to make sure she doesn't die to a stray bullet.​

TEAM-UP ABILITIES: 

  • Loki: ASSASSINATION DUO

    • Gamora: 5% Damage Boost

    • Loki: His normal attack deals 15 damage more by attacking enemies from behind

Since Loki has a passive which allows him to deal extra damage, with his melee button, from behind, I though this could make an interesting Team-Up between these two. Also since Loki can also turn invisible and is a strategist they could get together behind enemy lines and while Gamora kills one of them, he makes sure she can retreat safely with his heals.

  • Star-Lord and Rocekt Raccoon: AUGMENTET MOBILITY

    • Gamora: 5% Damage Boost

    • Star-Lord: 1 Additional Charge for Stellar Shift

    • Rocket Raccoon: 1 Additional Charge for Jetpack Dash

Gamoras is not only strong but also smart, so she helps her friends by upgrading their equipment to give them more mobility to ensure their death rate gets reduced.
